2009 Ulster County REALTOR® of the Year

New Paltz, New York (Grassroots Newswire) July 23, 2009 -- Barbara Korabel has been awarded the GRI designation by the New York State REALTOR® Institute. Barbara received this honor after successfully completing residential real estate education meeting the rigorous standards established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

The REALTOR® Institute of New York, which is conducted by the New York State Association of REALTORS®, was developed to satisfy the need for a more comprehensive and effective learning experience in various phases of real estate. By taking courses offered by the Institute a REALTOR® can become a more competent professional, render broader and more effective service and elevate the standards of the real estate industry.

To Barbara's credit she has been awarded many designations and has often been referred to as the "Education Junkie".She is a member of the Greater Hudson Valley MLS and the Mid Hudson but refers to her home board as the Ulster County Board of REALTORS® where she is currently the chairman of the Education Committee.

Among the many honors she has received she refers to winning the "Academy Award" when she was presented with the 2009 REALTOR® of the YEAR from Ulster County.
