1. First thing, make sure that your home has a new interior coat of paint. New carpet helps too. Neutral colors are best. These are two of the least expensive ways to update your home and it gives your home a new feel to it which buyers love!

 

2. Make sure the house is nice, neat and clean. Buyers who walk into a messy or dirty home believe that relays over to how you cared for your home, so clean it up!

 

3. Open blinds and shades. The more natural light the better. It gives the home an open, airy feel.

 

4. Turn on all lights.

 

5. Make the home smell good. Scented candles or plug ins (subtle scents) work perfectly. Burn the candle before the showing and then blow it out before you leave if you feel uncomfortable leaving the candle burning.
