Forget Me Not Walk for Alzheimers

Regina, SK (Grassroots Newswire) 01/29/2010 -- In Canada every 5 minutes, someone develops the incurable Alzheimer’s disease. There are 18,000 people in Saskatchewan suffering from a form of dementia.

January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and the annual Forget-Me-Not Walk will be taking place Sunday, January 31st from 1:00 -3pm at the Regina Field House.

EXIT Realty Fusion, Regina’s fastest growing real estate company, has launched itself into a weekend of raising funds and awareness of this terrible disease. Agents will be fund-raising at their open houses on Saturday from 1 – 4 pm, accepting donations and at the end of the day drawing names for a gift basket. EXIT Realty Fusion agents also will be handing out “Forget Me Not” flower seed packages.

EXIT Realty Fusion will also be participating in the Forget-Me-Not Walk at the Field House on Sunday.

“I would be very surprised if any of us did not know someone who has been affected by Alzheimer’s,” said EXIT Realty Fusion Broker Loretta Hughes. “We want to do as much as we can to help find a cure and the best way for us to do that is fund-raising and helping to raise awareness.
