Indidnapolis, IN (Grassroots Newswire) 06/01/2010 -- Mike was born in Indianapolis and raised in Brownsburg. Aside from serving his country for six years in the United States Navy and a brief detour to the University of Louisville with General Electric in 1999, Mike has lived in Indiana his entire life.

Mike began his real estate career in 1990, when he first became licensed as a real estate salesperson in the state of Indiana. Immediately, he began studying for his residential appraisal license. For the next seven years, while working at his full-time job as a medical equipment technician and asset manager, Mike assisted his father, William Schmidt in his business, Appraisal Services of Central Indiana.

While all this was going on, Mike met his future wife, Tammy, settled down and began raising their three daughters, now ages 15, 13 and 9. In 1997, Mike decided to remove himself from the real estate industry to concentrate on his family and career as a medical equipment asset manager.

In early 2002, circumstances dictated that Mike re-evaluate his chosen career. Mike became re-acquainted with a childhood friend who suggested he get back into real estate. The time seemed right to jump in with both feet, and he has been back in ever since.

Using the latest in valuation analysis coupled with his internet strategy, Mike provides the highest level of marketing to home sellers. He also assists other real estate agents in properly valuating homes for sale. Mike knows this market and gives personal attention to buyers who choose to work with him.
