Laconia, NH (Grassroots Newswire) 7/9/10 -- On June 3rd at the Lakes Region Board of REALTORS® monthly meeting held in Meredith at Church Landing; Michele Engel Managing Broker for EXIT Lakeside Realty Group/Laconia was named 2010 REALTOR® of the Year.
It was a great honor for Michele to receive this prestigious award as you are nominated by your peers in the REALTOR® community.
As last years President of the Lakes Region Board of REALTORS®, Michele has dedicated much of her time to the industry and looks forward to serving in many capacities for years to come.
In order to receive this honor of REALTOR® of the Year you must meet certain requirements.
REALTOR® Spirit – High principles, faithfulness to laws and regulations of the Code of Ethics and local Board, furtherance of principles of good real estate practice among other brokers and the general public.
Activity in Local Board – Board office and committee work.
Activity in Civic Affairs – Local, State and National participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political action, fraternal or religious groups.
Activity in (NHAR) State Association – Office and Committee work, membership and offices held in Institutes, Councils, etc.
Business Accomplishments – Public recognition of business conduct, service to clients, imaginative and creative advertising programs, rehabilitation work, land utilization, etc.
Michele was born and raised in Tilton and considers the Lakes Region her home. She graduated from Winnisquam Regional High and then attended UNH and graduated in 1991 with a Civil and Environmental Engineering Degree.
She was the 2009 President of the Lakes Region Board of REALTORS®; serves on several of the committees, as well as the Board of Directors. She holds designations of Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and GRI (Graduate REALTOR Institute), and is a six year member of the REALTOR® Honor Society.
After starting her family and wanting a flexible schedule, she decided to enter into a real estate career in 1995, specializing in vacation properties, residential, REO Properties and relocation. She opened and ran her own ReMax brokerage in 1997 in Laconia and in the summer of 2007 she merged with EXIT Lakeside Realty Group. Michele says it has been a great transition and a wonderful team of talent to work with.
