participates in Jubilee Day Fundraiser

Mechanicsburg, PA (Grassroots Newswire) June 17, 2011 -- EXIT REALTY GROUP collected donations at Jubilee Day, 2011. Barb and her assistant, Vicki Rankine, set their booth up at 7am to get ready for the huge, one day street fair. Rain or shine, they were determined to reach their goal of $200 for “Cumberland Valley Habitat for Humanity.” They kept track of their goal with a house chimney -- in $25 increments. Tissue paper flowers were handed out to the children and a $100 gas card giveaway was the prize for the adults. A $1 donation got you a pretty handmade posey and the adults could win the gas card!

The infamous T.V. show, “Extreme Makeover Home Edition,” is joining up with Musser Home builders to do a home in Dillsburg, so EXIT REALTY GROUP jumped on the help wagon. They got in contact with Musser’s and got some business cards to hand out to try to get volunteers.

Between the raindrops and the sunshine, Barb and her agents became the Town Criers. Calling out to the patrons passing by their booth, “ Donations for Habitat for Humanity,” or “Volunteers Wanted!”

By the end of the day they handed out over 900 cards, signed up 10 volunteers, and the Goal Chimney soared high in the sky bypassing their goal to $257 dollars. Way to go EXIT REALTY GROUP!

Congratulations to Frank Karle!!!! He’s the winner of the $100 gas card.
