Minneapolis, Minnesota (Grassroots Newswire) June 29, 2011 --Contemporary artist Roxanne Skeie Hillard’s is the next artist for the EXIT Realty Metro’s Emerging Artist Gallery. She will be displaying her art in July and August at the Gallery. The opening event is Thursday July 14 th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the EXIT Office, One Groveland Terrace, Suite 203 in Minneapolis. The public is invited to attend.

‘Always an artist’. Since age 4, when her mother realized that Roxanne was not tracing, but drawing, art has played an important role in her life. As an adult artist Roxanne has commented; “Everything about art that challenged me showed me something new about myself and enabled me to help others as well”. Roxanne started painting with water colors direct from the tube and has continued and expanded from that medium. A graduate of North St Paul High School, Minneapolis Vocational Technical School (for commercial art) and a graduate of Hamline University, Roxanne has won numerous awards and recognition for her work

The EXIT series honors local artists and opens their Gallery to expose this art to the surrounding community.
