Ribbon Cutting Event Announces the Arrival of the Largest Hero Real Estate Savings Program in the Nation
Homes for Heroes Offers Benefits to Workforce Heroes
Portland, Oregon (Grassroots Newswire) August 8, 2011 --Homes for Heroes, a national program that started right after 9/11/2001 as an effort to recognize and give back to the Workforce Heroes that serve our neighborhoods, announces that it will open its doors to Portland's Heroes at a gala Ribbon Cutting.
On August 13, 2011, at the center stage of the Portland Saturday Market beginning at 1:15, Claudia Knauer will sing the National Anthem to start the program. Ms. Knauer sings with several local bands including the Pranksters Big Band and the Jumptown Big Band.
The keynote speaker is Portland City Commissioner Amanda Fritz. Commissioner Fritz's city responsibilities include the Office of Human Relations, Office of Neighborhood Involvement, the Bureau of Emergency Communications, and the Office of Healthy Working Rivers.
The local affiliate of Homes for Heroes is Dan Crider, a real estate agent and owner of EXIT Realty Professionals. Crider says that "workforce heroes make my neighborhood a better place to live and work and this program offers me a chance to give back to these dedicated heroes." The Workforce Hero group includes Educators, Fire Fighters, Peace Officers, Military and Healthcare Professionals.
