First Time Homeownership Can be a Big Step

EXIT Realty West Agent Gives Free Presentation to Aid Buyers with Process Buying First home

Sharonville, Ohio (Grassroots Newswire) 2/9/2012 -- EXIT Realty West agent, Marty Russell, was one of a handful of presenters at a free Homebuyer Training Class, held at “Working in Neighborhoods” in Cincinnati, on February 4, 2012. Marty gave a presentation about what the role of a Realtor is to buyers when looking for and purchasing a home. Other presenters were from the Mortgage and Title industry, and other Real Estate related roles.

Preparing for Homeownership can be a big step and can feel very overwhelming at first; there are many decisions to be made before purchasing a home. Working In Neighborhoods offers free classes throughout the year to prepare potential first-time homebuyers to make and purchase a home wisely. The classes help potential homeowners to enjoy the long-term benefits of owning a home. Topics include: shopping for a home, how to choose a lender and a mortgage that’s right for you, the role of a realtor and the importance of getting a home inspection. WIN empowers people to make informed choices for themselves and their neighborhoods through community building, home ownership, and economic hardship. Nine hours of class time is required to receive the Homebuyer Certificate.

It was nice to interact with the public in this way. “states Marty. “It is important for homebuyers to know the questions to ask a Realtor when looking for a home, and to know what Realtors responsibilities are to them in the home buying process.”

Marty Russell is a Realtor with EXIT Realty West where he helps buyers and sellers navigate today’s complex real estate market. Marty specializes in real estate internet technology and social media.

Marty graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in engineering. His background in application and project engineering provide strong tools to identify and match customer requirements and manage the entire real estate transaction process. Marty’s corporate background includes a variety of companies over the years; from small privately held to Fortune 500 firms. During this time he has developed many strong business skills including; effective communication, problem solving and giving presentations. In addition Marty has been a member of the Cincinnati Real Estate Investors Association for the past 6 years where he has gained a breath of knowledge about all aspects of the real estate industry. Marty is lifelong native to the area having grown up in Fairfield Township. Real estate definitely runs in the family as Marty’s brother is also a Realtor.
