Homes for Heroes Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Manassas Park, Virginia (Grassroots Newswire) 05/23/2012 -- EXIT Gridiron Realty unveiled the Homes for Heroes® program to the Northern Virginia community with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  This event was a great success with over 75 community members in attendance.  Brian Shuman opened the ceremony by singing the National Anthem and Pastor Dave Sillaman from Reaction Church closed the occasion with a prayer.  Tuskegee Airman Bill Fauntroy and Major Anderson were guest speakers. Attendees included military service members as well as David Dixon, Manassas Park Fire Chief, members of Manassas Park Fire & Rescue Departments, Jim Zumwalt, City Manager of Manassas Park.  Former NFL Legends, Gary Clark, Ravin Caldwell, Ed Simmons and John Booty were also present at the event.

Cheryl Spangler, Broker and Co-Owner of EXIT Gridiron Realty, introduced five REALTOR affiliates of the Homes for Heroes program, Peggy Bassette-Hobbs, Sam Bolton, Gail Jackson, Scott Stevenson and Tokunbo Yorker and a Lender Affiliate, Jason Andrzejewski of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation.   Following the Ribbon Cutting, Heroes and guests were treated to lunch sponsored by many members of the Friends of Heroes Program, including Amici’s Restaurant, Stonewall Title & Escrow, Papa John’s Pizza, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Reaction Church, Carmello’s Restaurant, Fred Baker Photography, Mary’s Flower Shop, The Gridiron Legacy, DFM Mortgage and Pride Settlement & Escrow, LLC, as well as many other supporters of this wonderful program.  Friends of Heroes consist of local businesses who agree to provide discounts to our heroes and provide savings before, during and long after the buying or selling a home.
