A Heart Felt Thank You
To a 1st Responder and a Hero
Raeford , NC Grassroots Newswire) Sept. 18, 2012 -- EXIT Realty 1st Class II of Raeford always says thank you to our local heroes; firefighters, law enforcement officials, emergency medical technicians, 911 dispatchers, military personnel, teachers and faculty members by offering a Rebate when buying or selling a home with our agents.
Little did we know when we started this program just under a year ago that the heroism of a local 1st responder would hit so close to home.
Melinda Wright, an agent with EXIT Realty 1st Class II has been in Real Estate for several years now and has sold many homes. Her latest client is one she will never forget. As Melinda met Heather Lester and began helping her find a home she never dreamed that Heather would become a hero to Melinda and her family.
Last Friday night Melinda’s niece was involved in a car crash that claimed the life of 1 and injured 3. (http://www.robesonian.com/view/full_story/20175922/article-Local-man-killed--3-injured-in-car-wreck-in-Hoke-County )As always 911 was called and our local heroes were dispatched to the scene. Heather Lester a 1st responder was the first on the scene, she assessed the accident, called for a life flight and began working desperately to save the lives of these young people including Samantha Yarborough, Melinda’s niece.
Melinda, who will be giving part of her commission on the sale of Heathers new home, said it just does not seem like enough for what Heather does daily and for what she did for Samantha.
Thanks to Heather, Samantha is still alive.
