EXIT Strategy Realty Collecting Used Cell Phones for Victims of Domestic Violence

Campaign and Donations Continue Through This Friday for NNEDV's Safety Net Program

Chicago, Illinois (Grassroots Newswire) January 7, 2014 -- EXIT Strategy Realty has started a drive to collect used cell phones to be refurbished and given to survivors of domestic violence.  Partnering with the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV)'s Safety Net Program, EXIT will be collecting used cell phones through this Friday, January 10th at their 2235 W North Avenue location in Bucktown (free parking in front, hours 9 am to 6 pm, drop box after hours).

• Funding from your refurbished phone can help a survivor learn how to use one to protect themselves
• What millions of people don't realize is that technology can be dangerous and potentially lethal in the hands of an abuser

How Your Phones Help

• Nearly all materials found in cell phones can be recycled to make new products
• The money from your recycled or refurbished phone will benefit NNEDV's (National Network to End Domestic Violence) Safety Net Program, which educates victims on ways to use technology to help food safety and escape their abusers
