Historic Landmark In Downtown Des Moines Changes Hands

Des Moines, IA (Grassroots Newswire) 12/21/2015 -- The Kirkwood Hotel in downtown Des Moines is under new ownership today, as a local firm headed by Timothy Schutte, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Capital City, purchased the historic property.

The hotel has been a centerpiece of the downtown cityscape since 1930. In 2003, The Kirkwood was closed while it was renovated and converted from 155 hotel rooms to 54 apartments.  Schutte plans to convert the rental units into condominiums.
