Habitat Partner Family Breaks Ground on New Home

Hamilton, Montana (Grassroots Newswire) Sept 23, 2016 -- Neighbors, family, friends, volunteers and Habitat Board Members gathered for a Ground Breaking Ceremony for a home for Habitat for Humanity Ravalli County’s new partner family.  David Haywood, Board chair, spoke to the acquisition of the lot.  Bill Goslin spoke to the family selection process and introduced the new Partner Family.  Jennifer Larson and her children, Emma and Aksel, will be moving into their new home in the summer of 2017. Jennifer’s brother, Eric, prayed a blessing on the family, the home and the volunteers who will build it.

The family, along with Habitat representatives, grabbed shovels to break ground for the new home.

When Jennifer Larson found out that Habitat had purchased the lots in Hamilton, she and her children drove by once a week to pray that her family was selected.  Now that they have been selected, they drive by three/four times a week to pray a blessing on the home that is to be theirs.

“This is truly a prayer answered for my family,” said Larson.
