Turlock, CA (Grassroots Newswire) 11/11/2022 -- After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, thousands of California real estate agents recently converged at the Long Beach Convention Center for the California Association of Realtors®(C.A.R.) 2022 REimagine Real Estate Conference.

The three-day event consisted of education, training, updates, networking, exhibitors and a little fun for California Realtors® and featured keynote speakers like legendary real estate coach Tom Ferry. Ferry, founder and CEO of Ferry International, shared his ultimate success formula to out-position the competition and make 2023 the most successful year for real estate practitioners.

C.A.R. Chief Economist Jordan Levine also gave a forecast of the 2023 housing market and insight into today’s pressing housing issues that may impact buyers and sellers. Other speakers for the event also included top company executives, social media and marketing experts, successful practitioners, industry leaders and innovators.

Local Realtor®, Clarissa Azevedo, of EXIT Realty Consultants in Turlock, was invited as a break-out session panelist to discuss today’s shifting housing market. Azevedo joined other veteran top producers – Sofia Chacon, Operating Principle at Keller Williams Realty The Lakes; Matt Ogden, Compass; and Eric Johnson, a Realtor ® at Sotheby’s International Realty San Francisco – all of who’ve been able to do just that, learning actionable strategies to keep their business resilient no matter what’s happening with the market. The session was moderated by Jennifer Branchini, C.A.R.President-elect.

“The market is always going to change. It’s always going to go up or down, it is what it is and it’s never going to be perfect,” Azevedo shared with an audience of over 400 attendees. She stressed the importance of putting the relationship with her clients first by staying in contact and educating them during any market.

As the market shifts from the chaotic seller’s market of 2020 and 2021, when buyers were seen paying up to $80,000 over ask price, to a neutral market, Azevedo is advising buyers that sellers may now offer concessions to help with buyer closing costs or to help buy down their rate.

“I also show my sellers, who think it’s still a seller’s market, what buyers are going to have to pay in mortgage today with higher interest rates. They typically gasp when they see the price. Then I say, 'Now put yourself in the buyer’s shoes. Would you pay that for this house?' Often it brings them to a reality that they may be overpriced,” said Azevedo.

Regional Real Estate Awards Honor Local Professionals


Turlock, CA – Local real estate professionals gathered recently at the office of EXIT Realty Consultants in Turlock for an exclusive event featuring the President of the U.S. Division of EXIT Realty Corp. International, Craig Witt.  In a fireside chat-type meeting, Witt offered insights on the national real estate market and strategies to better serve the home buying and selling public. Top agents were also honored for their 2019 accomplishments for the Central California Region for EXIT Realty.

EXIT Realty Consultants in Turlock was recognized as the Top Office in Gross Closed Commission.   Clarissa Azevedo and Angeles Lomeli from the brokerage were recognized as the #4 and #5 agents respectively in Gross Commission Income and Closed Transaction Sides.

Regional Real Estate Awards Honor Local Professionals


Livermore, CA – EXIT Realty Corp. International honored local real estate professionals recently at its Regional Retreat and Award Ceremony held at the Clubhouse at Las Positas in Livermore.   Members of the business community were invited to attend for an informative day including sessions covering business development and real estate industry trends.

The following real estate professionals and brokerages were recognized for their region-wide accomplishments in 2018:

Kris Klair, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Consultants with seven locations in the region was named Broker of the Year.   Lisa Lewis from EXIT Realty Keystone with locations in Morgan Hill and San Jose was named Administrator of the Year.

-- Preparing for growing commercial activity, EXIT Realty Consultants has recently relocated its Ceres office to 3018 E. Service Road, Suites 104-105, located at the corner of Service and Mitchell Roads, just off Highway 99.

The local real estate office is one of seven office territories owned and operated by Kris Klair.

Klair opened his first office in Turlock in 2005 and since has acquired territories in Fresno, Ceres, Manteca, two offices in Modesto, and recently a new office in Tracy.

The Ceres office has grown from five agents when it first opened on Mitchell Road near Walmart in December 2011 to now nearly 30 agents, requiring more space for continued growth. Overall the company has grown to nearly 160 agents across the Central Valley.

“We are so excited about our new location in Ceres. It’s right off the freeway making it even easier for our clients to get to us and giving us twice as much space as what we had,” said Klair. The new location is approximately 3,200 square feet and will allow Klair to offer private office spaces and cubicles for agents, a large conference room, client meeting room and other amenities for agents and clients.

“Our growth has been slow, but steady. We’re bringing on quality agents that are all bringing in business, contrary to many other companies that only see 20 percent of the agents doing 80 percent of the brokerage’s business.”

Klair attributes the company’s growth to a few reasons – the training, the tools, the agents’ morale and the business model.

“We are continuously providing free training to our agents and our agents are utilizing it,” said Clarissa Azevedo, an EXIT Realtor and trainer for the company. “Our goal is to have the most educated and equipped real estate agents in the industry.” Classes range from contract training to marketing and disclosures to ancillary services like escrow and title or lending services.

And what’s special about the agents’ morale?

“In our company, our agents work together to help each other grow. Due to our business model our agents invite other agents to become part of the company and soon they become a mentor. They have a vested interest in their sponsored agent’s success,” said Klair.
