Sarah Drake Art Featured at EXIT Realty Metro Gallery

Minneapolis, Minnesota (Grassroots Newswire) March 6, 2014 -- Sarah Drake is a visual artist who sees art as an educational tool to engage viewers in critical thinking and expand their comfort zones. With a mixed media medium, Sarah is able to reuse materials as part of  her education on sustainability. Artworks include mostly African and human rights themes that inspire social change. Sales of specific artwork helps fund sustainability projects, including access to clean water and sanitation in Tiebel, Burkina Faso through her ARTS in Action, which she founded in 2011. Sarah has  received numerous awards while exhibiting her works internationally  and has a piece in the permanent collection at the Marina Tsvetaeva Museum and Cultural Center in Moscow.  She has a Master's of Science degree in Social Responsibility and her undergraduate degree focused on Ethnic Studies and Geography, both from SCSU.

This exhibit at the EXIT Realty Metro Gallery is called, "Spaces and Places," and is based on Sarah's travels, which is at the center of her inspiration of life and  art.  Creating these pieces has reconnected memories, skills, and interests she had forgotten. Sarah tried to focus on one medium and master it, but it hasn't worked, so she now allows herself to explore the world around her through various materials while telling a story. Michele Lanci Exhibits at EXIT Realty Metro Gallery

Minneapolis, MN (Grassroots Newswire) February 5, 2014 -- Photographer, Artist and Author, Michele Lanci is the next artist at the EXIT Realty Metro’s Emerging Artist Gallery.  She is displaying her photography through the first part of March from 9-5 weekdays.  An open house for the public is Thursday, February 13th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the EXIT Office, One Groveland Terrace, Suite 203 in Minneapolis.

Originally from New York, Michele moved to Minnesota 7 years ago after spending 17 years in Los Angeles. She is Creative Director at Imagik Design Studio where she provides graphic design interactive and photographic services to artists throughout the community.

Michele will be featuring architectural photography from around the world as well as original Polaroid image transfers from her book, “Good-Bye My Friend: Pet Cemeteries, Memorials and Other Ways to Remember”.   She will have copies available at the Gallery and will be signing at the February 13^th opening.

Artist Tom Foty exhibit at EXIT Realty Metro Gallery

Open house slated for July 31st 5:30-7:30

Minneapolis, Minnesota (Grassroots Newswire) July 19, 2013 -- Local artist Tom Foty is the 20^th Artist to exhibit at the EXIT Realty Metro Art Gallery located next to the Walker Art Gallery at One Groveland Terrace, Suite 203 in Minneapolis.  Foty’s art is open to the public during normal office hours.

Born in Minneapolis, Foty was raised and currently resides in Minnetonka.  “I love to try to capture in all its beauty on canvas in 2 dimension what God has already created in 3 dimension,” stated Foty.  His abilities as an artist have been evident from early on in his life. He began selling his work at the age of fourteen and has continued on to pursue his dream of art as a fulfilling and rewarding career.  He attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and returned to Minneapolis where he has successfully established himself as a prolific painter.

Foty’s passion for color, lighting and composition is apparent in his work. His art consists of fine artworks in figures, portraits, and landscapes.  Many of his works have appeared in local, national and international markets. His paintings have also been featured in both the editorial and corporate markets, as well as the publishing industry. He has worked with many prominent clients, including the New York Times, Disney, Harcourt Publishing, and numerous others.

April 18th Open House to honor Carleton McCambridge exhibit closing at EXIT Realty Metro Gallery

Minneapolis, MN (Grassroots Newswire) April 11, 2013 -- Western Artist Carleton McCambridge is closing his art exhibit this April 19th at the EXIT Realty Metro Gallery just south of the Walker Art Center. In honor of his work, the Gallery will host a farewell to the artist networking event Thursday April 18^th from 5:30-8 p.m.   This event is free and open to the public.

McCambridge has achieved his life long dream to paint and be recognized as a Western Artist.  His art is filled with the allure of the western landscapes and its Native cultures. EXIT Realty Metro Gallery Hosts Grand Opening for Emerging Artist Korla Luckeroth

Minneapolis, MN (Grassroots Newswire) July 5, 2012 -- St. Cloud, MN native, Korla Luckeroth, is the 16th Exhibitor in the EXIT Realty Metro Gallery Emerging Artist Series. A graduate of Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Luckeroth has studied at the International Ceramics Studio in Kesckemet, Hungary and at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.  She received her Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Ceramics and Art History at the Kansas City Art Institute and her Masters of Fine Arts in Ceramics from the University of Minnesota.  Luckeroth’s art on display at the EXIT Gallery is three dimensional, ceramic, hanging art.
