Rebecca Bulluck Receives EXIT Realty's 2018 Humanitarian Award

Local real estate professional receives international honor

Bracey, VA
Rebecca (Becca) Bulluck, Sales Representative with EXIT Town & Lake Realty in Bracey, received the 2018 Humanitarian Award at EXIT Realty Corp. International’s Annual Convention held recently at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington, DC.

EXIT Realty’s Humanitarian Award recognizes outstanding community service.  Bulluck’s positive impact on her community includes:
  • making blankets for an annual live auction fund raiser in the Lake Gaston Area to help a member of the community stricken by illness or tragedy
  • organizing a yard/bake sale to raise funds for an infant who required surgery immediately following birth which her parents could not afford
  • helping to organize and promote a fundraiser to provide medication for a woman with breast cancer
  • organizing and promoting several successful blood drives with the American Red Cross
  • donating more than 100 red hats to the American Heart Association for NICU babies through an event where she taught others to crochet and contribute
  • supporting families during the holiday season by donating gift and gas cards and “adopting” children through social services to provide them with gifts
Bulluck was a member of the small group that formed the Bracey Community Association and organized the First Annual Bracey Parade and Illumination and has continued to support and volunteer with the organization for the past five years. In addition, she was named the 2017 Volunteer of the Year for the Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce.

“Becca works as a REALTOR® full time and gives up some of her limited free time to help a local man who is a single father of two young girls,” said Nancy Shaver, President of EXIT Realty Virginia.  “She pays their babysitter when needed, cares for them, does crafts with them, bathes them, fixes dinner for the entire family and keeps them over night as needed so their father can work the hours needed to provide for his family. Becca is a true gem and a testament to what a difference-maker someone like her can be to a community.  She truly loves helping people and she brings that to her real estate career every day.  We are so very proud of her.”

Steve Morris, Founder and Chairman of EXIT Realty Corp. International echoes Shaver’s sentiments.  “Becca goes above and beyond in service to her community and is a shining example of EXIT's culture.  For this and so much more, she is very deserving of this special recognition.”
