Long Island, New York (Grassroots Newswire) 10/3/12 -- According to the Long Island MLS, home sales in the Long Island market were up last month.

15% more homes went to contract this summer than the summer of 2011. Prices stabilized overall and in some areas of Long Island actually increased.
