HUNGER TAKES AN EXIT!

EXIT Realty Food Drive

Leominster, MA (Grassroots Newswire) September 11, 2013 -- One in six Americans faces hunger. One in five American children faces hunger. These numbers can be pretty daunting, but that’s why EXIT Realty and DN Van Lines have teamed up with Move For Hunger to host the Hunger Takes an EXIT food drive. The month of September is recognized as Hunger Action Month, and people all over the country are stepping up to try to change these startling statistics. Want to join the fight against hunger? Bring some food donations down to the nearest EXIT Realty office to make a difference.

From September 16^th to October 11^th, EXIT Realty is holding a food drive among six of its offices in support of Hunger Action Month.  Food drive boxes will be set up in the participating offices where all citizens in the surrounding areas are encouraged to donate their unopened, nonperishable food items to the cause. All of the proceeds will be transported, courtesy of DN Van Lines, to local food pantries.

• 26 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury
• 660 Broadway, Ball Square, Somerville

For those who are unsure what to donate, canned fruits, vegetables, meats and tuna, pasta, rice, and beans are all great items to bring! Of course, any and all food donations are welcome; none are too big or too small!

Move For Hunger is a non-profit organization that works with relocation companies across North America to pick up unwanted, unopened food from those who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks. To date, Move For Hunger is working with over 500 movers in 46 states and has collected more than 2,060,000 pounds of food.
