Shahan Earns SRES Designation

Leawood, KS (Grassroots Newswire) 4/22/2009 -- Greg Shahan of Exit Realty Group in Leawood, KS has earned the SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) designation from the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council of the National Association of REALTORS®.

Shahan said "The SRES designation was originally developed to focus on the needs of home buyers and sellers aged 50 and over." According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 7,900 people will turn 60 every single day this year. In addition, real estate is the largest single asset class held by households that are headed by someone who is 65 or older, according to Harvard University s Joint Center for Housing Studies.

Shahan holds a Real Estate Broker's license in both Kansas and Missouri and is currently a Director of the Kansas City Area Regional Association of Realtors and a Director of the Kansas Association of Realtors.
