4 LOCAL REALTORS® AWARDED NAR DESIGNATIONS

REALTORS® Achieve Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Designation

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN (Grassroots Newswire) April 30, 2010 -- Frank D’Angelo, Broker and owner of EXIT REALTY NEXUS, proudly announces the designation achievements of 4 REALTOR® professionals in his office. Roxanne Skeie Hillard, Patti Ann Kasper (also a Graduate REALTOR® Institute Designee), Sheldon Berquist, and Karen Tobler have all completed the requirements and have been awarded the Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Designation (SFR) .

The SFR Designation gives the REALTOR® the latest framework in working with distressed sellers, helping them find appropriate resources such as tax and legal professionals as well as preparing the documentation to work with lenders. This National Association of REALTORS® Designation is the only one of its kind that focuses on both the buyer and seller sides of distressed property transactions.

“As a Broker, I'm very proud and thankful to be aligned with agents adjusting, learning and obtaining the most relevant training and certifications available. The Short Sale Foreclosure Resource certification program helps our agents become the best resource for their clients who have experienced hardship associated with their home ownership equity, lack of equity and revenue position. I can confidently say that when a seller who has experienced hardship meets a certified SFR agent, their options associated with their home ownership are expanded versus being limited to what most un-certified agents can bring to their situation,” shared Mr. D’Angelo.

Brokers aren’t the only ones who see the added benefit of the SFR Designation. Clients like Mike and Nichole Kukuska experienced the benefit first hand. Their SFR REALTOR® Patti Ann Kasper, according the couple, was able to “communicate and direct the tasks of not one, but two lenders and a host of city officials, tax appraisers, title closers, mortgage appraisers, loan officers, home inspectors, other REALTORS® and even city employees.” Ms. Kasper was able to successfully sell their home and help them through the stressful situation.

Short Sales and Foreclosures in the Twin Cities are still a significant part of the real estate market. According to the Minneapolis Association Short Sales have increased in March of 2010 while lender owned properties on the market have decreased some.
