EXIT Realty Bitterroot Valley Honors an Outstanding Local Teen

Hamilton, Montana (Grassroots Newswire) December 15, 2015 -- At its monthly First Thursday Networking/Career Event, EXIT Realty Bitterroot Valley recognized its November Youth in Action award recipient.  Sadie Mauk was presented with a certificate and a check for $50.

“We always seem to hear about the negative activities teens are up to,” said Max Coleman, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Bitterroot Valley.  “There are so many teens who are doing incredibly responsible, generous things; we felt the need to highlight the positive.  Sadie exemplifies the type of young person we are looking to the public to nominate.”

Sadie is on the State Youth Activation Committee that advocates for students with disabilities. She has worked to further awareness of the need to stand up for students who are challenged with learning or physical needs through Project Unify and she is a volunteer in the Special Olympics program. Sadie has also been volunteering in the Montanan Hope Project that provides wishes to terminally ill children and their families. Sadie has most recently signed up to be a Peer Mentor for a Victor Middle School group that teaches leadership. The group is coordinated by the local B.E.A.R. program and focuses on social skills, decision making and leadership.
