Jim Mazziotti Joins The National Guard Youth Challenge Foundation Board of Directors
EXIT Realty Bend Owner/Broker Appointed To National Board Of Directors
Washington D.C.—January 29, 2019 – Brigadier General Allyson Solomon,
USAF (Ret) and President of the National Guard Youth Foundation, headquartered in Washington, D.C., has announced the election of Jim Mazziotti, a founding partner, certified coach, trainer and speaker, with the John Maxwell Team, and the Principal Managing Broker & Franchise Owner of EXIT Realty Bend (OR), to the board of directors for the National Guard Youth Foundation.
“We conducted a search for someone who would further strengthen our board’s breadth of talent and background, and we are delighted to have identified such an outstanding individual,” said Allyson Solomon. “I’m confident that Jim is going to make an important and positive impact on our foundation and the 39 youth challenge facilities across the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.”
Mazziotti is quite familiar with the mission of the NGYF. “I have admired the National Guard Youth Foundation for its innovative concept to education and their dynamic leadership team, made up of some of the brightest men and women in America, and I’m honored to be joining their board,” he said. “I have tremendous respect for NGYF President Allyson Solomon, and the other board members serving, and I look forward to working with them,” Mazziotti said.
Jim Mazziotti comes to the board with an extensive record as a proven community leader, visionary, and communicator. Before relocating to Bend, Oregon in 2002 from Oelwein, Iowa, he served his community as a city councilman, as president of the economic development foundation, president of his Chamber of Commerce, and assisted in a leadership capacity to work effectively and proficiently with local, country and state leaders to build an innovative and first of it’s kind life-long learning facility, offering expanded K-12 opportunities, a performing arts center, and a wellness center in his community. After his graduation from Upper Iowa University in 1975, Jim joined the family retail music business where he worked from 1975-1994. He has been a licensed Realtor since 1992, and currently leads a team of more than 20 real estate professionals in his real estate company, a leading real estate firm in Bend, Oregon.
Mazziotti recently published ‘The Challenge: How 144 Letters Changed My Life, The Life Of My Son, And Will Change Your Life Too,” a book that reflects on the life altering journey of his son, Anthony, and his experience as a student/cadet at the Oregon Youth Challenge located in Bend, Oregon. “Serving on the board for the National Guard Youth Foundation aligns perfectly with my personal goals and mission, and I just hope I bring something of value to the table that will support this incredible organization,” Mazziotti concluded.
