Jan Sanborn grew up in the area and has deep roots to the Chocorua area. Jan’s family has been connected to the area for over a 100 years. Her grandfather was Legrand Cannon Jr., author of “Look to the Mountain” a historical novel about the original settlers of the Sandwich/Tamworth area, which was written in their family home behind Lake Chocorua.

Educated in Washington, D.C. and Boston, Sanborn spent 20 years in San Diego, Calif., as a Realtor. In 2001, she and her husband Rick, moved back to Chocorua and renewed many old ties and friendships with family and acquaintances. Sanborn says, “This is home, where we were meant to be.”
