Laurel, Maryland (Grassroots Newswire) November 4, 2013 -- In gratitude for the support shown to EXIT Right Realty by the local community, the real estate brokerage recently partnered with local non profit Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services Inc. (LARS) to provide food to needy families this holiday season. Starting today, EXIT will be accepting food donations at its office - 8730-16 Cherry Lane, Laurel, MD 20707.

“This is not just for the holidays,” said Carlos Lancaster, Broker/Owner of EXIT Right Realty. “We are committed to helping people in our community and our newly established “donation location” will accept donations all throughout the year.” So committed is the broker that a formal committee called the Sunshine Club has been established. Staffed by 3 Realtors – Margeau Gilbert, Terri McColl and Denise Person – this committee is charged with the responsibility of outreach to the community. The food drive is the Sunshine Club’s inaugural event.

This includes canned chicken, tuna, soups, canned vegetables or fruits, pastas, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, juice boxes, cookies, pastas and rice.” In light of the recent government shut down and the subsequent reduction of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the food drive comes at a particularly auspicious time. Real Estate Broker Partners with Non Profit To Provide HIV Testing

Prince George's County 2nd in the state for HIV Infections

Laurel, MD (Grassroots Newswire) August 19, 2013 -- On Sunday, August 25th, EXIT Right Realty is partnering with Heart to Hand, Inc, a non profit agency dedicated to helping people with HIV/AIDS, to sponsor the 1^st Annual Skate Away HIV Day. The object is to encourage people in the community to get tested for HIV. Held at the Temple Hills Skate Palace in Temple Hills, Maryland, the event will be held from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm.  Admission is free to everyone who gets tested and the first 500 who gets tested will also receive free skate rental, thanks to EXIT Right Realty.

The cheek swab test is painless, private and completely confidential.  The facility can hold up to 1500 people and the goal is to get 1,000 individuals tested. Booths will be set up to ensure privacy and results will be given that day. Additional information and referrals will also be available on site.
