Nashville, Tennessee (Grassroots Newswire) 11-20-17 --  Sheila Tidwell, Principal Broker/Owner and Connie Williams, Owner, of EXIT Realty East Nashville, today announced that Affiliate Broker, April Harrington, has earned the prestigious Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation and has become a recognized Resort and Second Home Property Specialist.

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) awards the CIPS designation to individuals who have completed mandatory courses in Global Real Estate (both markets and tools) and electives such as diversity, marketing and financial analysis. Each year these classes are held in different countries and in 2017, the location was Costa Rica.

Local REALTORS® Feed the Homeless

Nashville, TN – The sales team from EXIT Realty East Nashville gathered recently at the Nashville Rescue Mission, Men’s Campus, to serve more than 400 of the organization’s clients. 

Thirteen REALTORS® worked alongside Mission volunteers to greet the men, fill their trays with food and beverages and help to clean up.

“As a group, we decided to choose a cause where we could make a positive impact within our community,” said Sheila Tidwell, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty East Nashville.

The Nashville Rescue Mission was founded in 1954 to serve the needs of homeless men in the Nashville community and extended its mandate to include women and children in 1968.  According to the Mission’s website, they anticipate providing more than 600,000 meals in 2017.

“The experience positively impacted each of us as the men seemed to truly appreciate our efforts,” said Tidwell. “Many of them thanked us with their words and their smiles.  Because the Mission makes it so easy to volunteer through their online application, we plan to volunteer at least once per quarter.”
