Athens EXIT Realty Office Gives Back to the Community

Athens, Alabama (Grassroots Newswire) 04/25/2022 -- In gratitude for the support shown to EXIT Realty Downhome by the local community, the real estate brokerage recently partnered with the Travis Manion Foundation.

TMF strives to unite and strengthen communities by training, developing, and highlighting the role models that lead them. They develop programs, training opportunities, and events designed to empower veterans and families of the fallen, and then inspire them to pass on their values to the next generation and the community at large.  The inspiration for the foundation comes from its namesake. Dedicated to 1st Lt Travis Manion, USMC, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of his patrol in 2007, TMF carries on the legacy of selfless service and leadership embodied by Travis and all those who have served, or continue to serve, our nation. Before his final deployment to Iraq, Travis left us with a simple but powerful ethos. “If Not Me, Then Who...” describes the sense of duty felt by service members and their families. Today it is a constant reminder for all of us to live with character and put the interests of others before our own.

We are holding a donation drive for Hearts for the Homeless the week of 4/25 through 4/29 in honor of CPL Daegan Page who was one of the thirteen soldiers that lost their lives on August 26,2021 in Afghanistan. We are asking for donations of everyday essential needs such as deodorant, toothpaste, over the counter medication, etc. The drop off location is at our office, 115 S Marion ST in Athens on the east side of the courthouse.

Athens EXIT Realty Office Gives Back to the Community

Athens, Alabama (Grassroots Newswire) 09-24-2021 -- In gratitude for the support shown to EXIT Realty Downhome by the local community, the real estate brokerage recently had the privilege to participate in the event Over The Edge for Kids to Love. In this event our Broker Felicia McGee was tasked with raising money for Kids to Love. This is a 501(c)(3) approved Foundation. Since incorporation in 2004, the Kids to Love Foundation has been able to reach over 275,000 foster children, rescuing them and meeting their needs. Felicia set out with a goal to raise 3000 dollars and she was able to raise over 1500. With the Spirit of EXIT program's dollar for dollar matching program she was able to reach her goal that she set. In doing so, she was able to go Over the Edge of the Regions Center in Huntsville, AL. Felicia  rappelled from the top of the 160ft tall building. At EXIT Realty Downhome we are honored to be able to give back to our community and support local charities. Felica already has plans to do it again next year and raise even more money. And we can't wait to see her do this, from the ground!.
