Local Realtors Achieve National Recognition

Minneapolis, Minnesota (Grassroots Newswire) February 12, 2016 -- Penni Christianson and Sharon Elkerton , EXIT Realty Metro Realtors in the PS Realty Group, have been awarded the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation by the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS^® (NAR).

Penni and Sharon join more than 16,000 real estate professionals in North American who have earned the SRES designation.  All Realtors were required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older.

Penni Christianson Joins EXIT Realty in Minneapolis

Penni started her career in the loan department at a small bank where she gained extensive experience in processing and originating residential mortgage loans. She eventually moved into the title industry, providing her with an in-depth understanding of closing documentation and process. With Wells Fargo for six years, Penni assisted customers throughout the renovation of their residential properties and initiated a Customer Service Advocate position that resulted in improving client satisfaction rates. It was a natural transition for Penni to leverage these experiences and become a Realtor. Penni grew up in Minnetonka until, at age 14, her family made an adventurous move to Hawaii. She eventually returned to the mainland and settled down in San Francisco, attending school at Platt College. Coming full circle, she found her way back to Minnesota to raise her daughter, knowing all that the State has to offer a child growing up. Today Penni resides in West Bloomington. When Penni is not working she keeps busy volunteering in the community, enjoying art and interior decorating, walking the trails with her dog, and playing the guitar.
