"Locks for Lucas" Charity Event

"We only have eyes for Him"

Evans, GA (Grassroots Newswire) July 9, 2009 -- EXIT Realty Leading Edge is pleased to assist with announcement of a very unique and rapidly growing local charity event called "Locks for Lucas". Two local styling salons located in Martinez GA are already having incredible media interest and business donations for this event to benefit little Lucas Asselin, a 6 month old baby who has Retinoblastoma. This rare eye cancer has been treated and his family really needs local community support.

The idea started with the team at Suzette's Salon. When a competing nearby salon heard about the compelling family story, they too wanted to share resources and donate to the event. Now it's exploding in size and radio, TV and print are interviewing and asking for details.

On Sunday, July 12^th. stylists at both shops will start at 11:00 am and offer free haircuts for donations to benefit Lucas. There will be raffles, bake sales, t-shirts and much more. Also the Shepeard Blood Mobile will be at both locations (11AM-4PM & 2PM-5PM).

Please come out and help support this family. Papa Johns has donated pizza to the Suzette's Salon location and Firehouse Subs will give the first 15 blood donors free subs at the Fringe Hair Salon location. You may also make a donation at any Wachovia bank branch into the account, "Locks for Lucas." ALL money raised will go directly to the Asselin family.
