James Thrall Joins EXIT Realty in Palm Coast

Palm Coast, Florida (Grassroots Newswire) July 17, 2012 -- James Thrall joined EXIT REALTY FIRST CHOICE in Palm Coast.

James R. Thrall was born in Grand Rapids Michigan. He graduated from Mancelona High School located in Northern Michigan. He went on to attend Aquinas College in Grand Rapids Michigan receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a dual major in English and Philosophy. He continued his education attending Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan graduating with the degree of Juris Doctor in 1995. After graduation, he passed the multistate bar exam and was sworn in to practice law in the Michigan Courts and the United States District Court, Western District of Michigan. James began his career in law as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Ionia County Michigan in December of 1995. It was there that he was able gain experience in litigation and trial skills prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony cases as well as prosecuting child protective proceedings. After approximately two years in the prosecutor’s office he joined a Michigan law firm as a general practitioner making partner. While in private practice, he was admitted in 1999 to the United States Tax Court, served as the City Attorney for several municipalities, and was the retained attorney for the Montcalm County Association of REALTORS. His past volunteerism includes, attorney for Habitat for Humanity, Vice President of the Ionia County Family Violence Council, President, Vice President and board member of the local Rotary Club, President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Ionia/Montcalm Bar Association, member of the board of directors of the Flat River Historical Society and Flat River Community Players. James enjoys athletics and is a member of the local Jukido Jujitsu dojo located in Palm Coast Florida. While in High School he was a member of the varsity football, baseball and wrestling team.

While a youth he was highly active in boy scouts obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout and twice attending the high adventure scouting ranch known as Philmont located near Cimmarron New Mexico. During his high school years, he also enjoyed woodworking building a grandfather clock that received second prize in the State of Michigan Industrial Education Awards. He is currently licensed to practice law in Michigan and is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, National Association of REALTORS, Florida Association of REALTORS and Flagler County Association of REALTORS.
