Local Business Supports Front Line Workers

Polson, MT (Grassroots Newswire) 4/6/2020 -- One of Karen Biron’s passions before this national crisis, but more so because of it,  was giving back to her community.

As an Army veteran she moved around and always gave back to any community where she lived.  Biron, a salesperson with EXIT Realty Polson and a Homes for Heroes Real Estate Specialist, now calls Lake County, Montana her forever home and has been involved in all facets of community life since she arrived.  Most recently, after conferring with Jason Sargent, Saint Ignatius School District Superintendent,  Biron and Gracelyn LaFleur, Realtor/Owner of EXIT Realty Polson teamed up with Old Timer Café in Saint Ignatius to deliver homemade cinnamon rolls, coffee and other snacks to the teachers and District staff who came together to prepare packets to be delivered to the students so they could continue to “attend” school during our government required Shelter in Place order.

After learning that the Homes for Heroes Foundation awarded $25,000 to the HealthWell Foundation’s COVID-19 Ancillary Costs Fund to help healthcare heroes serving their communities through the coronavirus pandemic, Biron was determined to get the word out to healthcare workers in the County.  This time she and LaFleur teamed up with Stageline Pizza in Polson to have pizza pies and beverages delivered to the ER staff and screening nurses at St Joseph Medical Center in Polson, MT.  The REALTORS also collaborated with Dobson Creek Coffee Shop in Ronan to provide their famous homemade donuts to the ER staff and clinic healthcare workers at St Luke Community Healthcare.

“It was a privilege to be able to show our appreciation to the front line workers of our community,” said Biron.  “We’re all in this together.”
