Home Sales Decline in September
As Home Prices Continue to Increase
Killeen, Texas (Grassroots Newswire) October 18, 2012 -- Local home sales dip in September.The Fort Hood Area Association of REALTORS® monthly home sales report show that homes sales for the month of September 2012 dropped to 175 homes compared to 269 homes in the month of August 2012. This is a -34% dropped in month over month comparison. The summer months of 2012 saw some of the highest monthly home sale numbers in over 3 years, peaking out at 283 homes sold during the month of July.
The median home price though has continues to rise, ending at $129,900 through the end of September as compared to September of 2011 where it was at $120,000. That is just over an 8% increase in home prices from one year to the next.
