EXIT Realty West Hosts First Annual Ruwes Oak Block Party

Ruwes Oak Neighborhood Enjoys Food, Fun, and Music

Cincinnati, Ohio (Grassroots Newswire) 5/26/2011 --Sunny skies and warm temperatures brought over 200 people to the First Annual Ruwes Oak Block Party hosted by EXIT Realty West Friday May 20, 2011. The Block Party event was held from 2pm-7pm. There were lots of activities for the kids, including 2 Bounces Houses, face painting, chalk drawing, and various games. Habitat for Humanity held a Paint Can game in which kids threw a paint brush into a paint can for a prize. For adults and kids, a drawing was held every ½ hour beginning at 3:30pm for door prizes, that included themed gift bags, a Gift Certificate to Lowes, and a Home Theater System. Free hot dogs and popcorn were served, and Free Kona Ice Cones were given to the first 75 kids in attendance. “It was wonderful to visit with neighbors, listen to music, snack on good food, and watch the kids enjoy themselves”, commented Don Tener, Realtor with EXIT Realty West.

“Our Real Estate office organized the block party to thank the local neighbors for all of their business and referrals. The other businesses in our shopping center were invited to co host and sponsor this event with us, and they were more than willing to do so,” states Kristin Calendine, Broker of EXIT Realty West.” After the event people from different businesses were saying they wanted to be sponsors for next year already,” Calendine said. “We even had people just coming up to us wanting to give back; it was totally unsolicited.”

EXIT Realty West is already looking forward to hosting their second annual Block Party next year. The entire event was able to be sustained through donations by sponsors in the community, and it already looks like next years Block Party will be able to rely on sponsors as well. This years Sponsors were Sports Depot, Marcos Pizza, Snap Fitness, Colerain Urgent Care, Bank of America, Pillar To Post, Central States Title Agency, and Barry Brown Paving.
