Welcome Home! Habitat Partner Family Home Dedicated

Hamilton, Montana (Grassroots Newswire) November 7, 2018 -- Last Saturday, family, friends, volunteers, Board Members and Habitat staff gathered to dedicate the Furlong family’s new home.  All were welcomed by Jordan Silva, the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Ravalli County.

Roni Keiser, who was part of the Board’s Family Selection Committee at the time, described the journey the family has been on; the select process, being a Habitat partner, putting 500 hours of sweat equity into their new home, etc.

“And finally,” said Keiser, “welcome home!”

John Weaver, the family’s pastor, prayed a blessing on the home and on the family asking that the home become a “sanctuary of peace” no matter what life throws at them.

Both Susan Jensen and Tina Coleman of EXIT Realty Bitterroot Valley were in attendance having volunteered on and provided lunches for the build.

“The dedication was beautiful,” both agreed.  “Very emotional and gratifying.  Reminds us of why we volunteer and support Habitat’s mission in our Valley.  We are all about helping families find homes.”
