1st Annual Canadian Snowball Throwing Championship Sept. 1

Top Male and Female to Compete for World Championship Title in 2020

Brockville, Ontario (Grassroots Newswire) August 26, 2019
-- Canada is known for its hockey, polar bears, geese and the beaver. But don’t throw snow and world-famous windchills under the bus! Just when you think you seen the wackiest of competitions – like the hot dog eating king Joey Chestnut – or chainsaw wars, along comes a new competition - oddly enough - that doesn’t seem to exist on the globe! Announcing SNOlympiad I, a totally unique competition to measure the skill of Snowball Throwing.

EXIT Realty Eastern Ontario presents The 1st Annual Canadian Snowball Throwing Championship slated for Brockville, Ontario on Sunday, September 1, 2019.

Throwers who accumulate the highest total score throwing snowballs in three snowballs throwing disciplines; 1) Distance; 2) Velocity; and 3) Accuracy, will be crowned the champion. Participants throw three snowballs at each stage.

The top male and female will represent Canada at SNOlympiad 1, the 1st Annual World Snowball Throwing Championship to be held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 2020.

The Canadian Snowball Throwing Championship is made possible by its presenting sponsor, EXIT Realty Eastern Ontario, with support from other local sponsors including C-Way Commercial Cleaners, the City of Brockville, and Brockville Tourism. AJ Plant, Regional Director EXIT Realty Eastern Ontario said “we are thrilled to present an exiting new event to Brockville to help boost the line-up for the BIG RIVER Festival helping attract tourists and in generating the economic benefits. We also want to expose our growing brand throughout eastern Ontario to support our brokerages, including EXIT Realty Brockville. We look forward to serving the buying and selling needs of residents looking for a fresh face with the latest cutting-edge technology, marketing, and trained agents.”

Once the champions are crowned, residents and spectators can pay $5 and receive three snowballs to have their velocity and accuracy recorded as well. Proceeds from this interative opportunity will be matched by EXIT Realty Corp. International, up to $2,000, and donated to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville.

Persons over the age of 19 who would like to register to compete or learn more about how they can become a competitor can go to the website at: www.SNOlympiad.com .
