Prince Frederick, MD (Grassroots Newswire) 11.28.18 -- The Christmas holiday season is rapidly approaching and EXIT By the Bay Realty has once again opened their doors to assist Toys for Tots of Calvert County to help as many children as possible have a festive Christmas. Please stop by our office at 222 Merrimac Court, Prince Frederick, MD 20678 to drop off your donation to be a part of this event.

The annual toy drive kicked off last week and organizers are counting on community donations to help more than 1,000 local children in need this year. Residents can contribute to a local Toys for Tots campaign in several ways, including donating a toy at one of the local toy drop locations, making a monetary donation or volunteering at the local warehouse.

New, unwrapped toys will be collected through December 11th at more than 60 drop-off sites located throughout Calvert County. If you are unable to drop by our office, monetary donations are appreciated as well and funds received are used to purchase toys wherever a shortfall exists. Pasta:  Pasta or boxed pasta dinners, such as macaroni and cheese, make good donation items because, in most cases, a little goes a long way. Pasta is also a food that people can prepare along with vegetables, meat or just on its own.

Milk Products:  Needed milk items include powdered milk, boxed puddings and cheese spreads. Some food pantries may accept fresh dairy products, such as yogurt, cheese and milk.

Grain Products:  Types of grain products to consider include brown rice, whole grain bread, bagels or muffins.

Cereal:  Boxed cereal is expensive for low-income families to purchase. In addition to having a long shelf life, which makes for excellent pantry storage, many cereals are fortified with vitamins and include healthy grains. Oatmeal is also in demand, whether instant or regular.

Baby Food:  Infant formula and baby food (in plastic container) are expensive for those in need. Canned formula and boxed baby cereal are easy to store and in great demand.

Prince Frederick, MD (Grassroots Newswire) 11/17/2015 -- The Christmas holiday season is rapidly approaching and EXIT By the Bay Realty has once again opened their doors to assist Toys for Tots of Calvert County to help as many children as possible have a festive Christmas.  Please stop by our office at 222 Merrimac Court, Prince Frederick, MD 20678 to drop off your donation to be a part of this event.

The annual toy drive kicked off Monday, November 2nd and organizers are counting on community donations to help more than 1,000 local children in need this year. Residents can contribute to a local Toys for Tots campaign in several ways, including donating a toy at one of the local toy drop locations, making a monetary donation or volunteering at the local warehouse.

New, unwrapped toys will be collected through December 10th at more than 60 drop-off sites located throughout Calvert County.  If you are unable to drop by our office, monetary donations are appreciated as well and funds received are used to purchase toys wherever a shortfall exists. Credit card donations are accepted via the www.CalvertToysforTots.com website and checks made payable to the Toys for Tots Foundation can be mailed to P.O. Box 207, Barstow, MD 20610.

If you are interested in volunteering to collect, sort, count or distribute toys, books and stocking stuffers for 1,000 children, register at www.CalvertToysforTots.com.

In the past, there have been shortfalls in donations for the nine and older age group.
