3rd Annual "Souper Sunday"

Jonesboro, AR (Grassroots Newswire) November 13, 2012 -- The Jonesboro EXIT Realty Center sponsored its 3rd annual "Souper Sunday" on November 4th at the Hilton Garden Inn and with the help of our community, this powerful event raised over $8000 for Habitat for Humanity.

Every dollar that is raised from ticket sales and the silent auction is also donated to Habitat for Humanity.

This year was our very best.  EXIT's employees and their families faithfully volunteered  their time to plan, collect donations, decorate, set up, clean, and serve hundreds of bowls of soup, bread, dessert and drinks to the community who also enjoyed bidding for their favorite items during the silent auction.  This year, we welcomed volunteers from Westside Schools and Kohls to assist with Souper Sunday.

We are thankful for a record number of 27 different types of soup donations from local restaurants and an abundance of dessert donations from local bakeries and the ladies of the Oak Grove Church.  Donations for our silent auction were up this year as well and we are grateful to each business who willingly donated so much.  A special thank you to the Hilton Garden Inn for being so accomodating to us and to Loretta's for helping us keep the soups piping hot.

As realtors, we at EXIT understand the importance of owning a home and that some people have difficulty achieving that goal. That's why Habitat for Humanity is a charity that is so near and dear to all of us and we thank everyone who helped make our Souper Sunday another great success.
