Colorado Springs, CO (Grassroots Newswire) 06/06/2022 -- The Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity is seeking volunteers for it's 2022 Women's Build Project.  Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity is working with Pikes Peak Women's Council of Realtors, the Pikes Peak Association of Realtors, and the Pikes Peak Young Professtional's Network on building new home for a family in our community.  Volunteers are needed for the building project on Saturday August 6th at the Ridge at Sand Creek and volenteers are also needed for the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store at 411 S Wasatch Ave.

This will be the second home EXIT has helped Habitat build in three years.

Quenette Carrington and her children were welcomed home this weekend.

The mother and her four kids were joined by volunteers and other organizers for a Lubbock Habitat for Humanity home dedication ceremony Saturday afternoon at the new house on East Dartmouth Street. It was the sixth home Lubbock Habitat has dedicated since June as part of its 2020 Blitz.

"The single mother of four who will own this home is an incredible person," said Christy Reeves, Lubbock Habitat's executive director. "Despite working up to 60 hours per week to support her family, she completed all of her required education and construction hours for our program. The determination and effort we witness from our homeowners is truly inspiring.”

During Saturday's ceremony, Carrington reflected on helping work on the house during its construction and looked forward to sharing the home with her family.

EXIT Realty team members worked to raise the money for the initial construction of this home for an entire year, according to a news release from Lubbock Habitat.

In addition, numerous EXIT Realtors helped organize and conduct the 2020 Blitz build where the exterior of the home was completed in 10 days. This will be the second home EXIT has helped Habitat build in three years.

International and EXIT Southeast will join hundreds of volunteers October 6-11 in Nashville for Habitat for Humanity’s 36th Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. By working alongside Habitat homeowners, EXIT Realty hopes to make a critical difference for individuals and their communities.

Volunteers and homeowners will join former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter to build 21 new single-family homes in Nashville. An additional 12 new single-family homes and 26 new townhomes will be constructed by 2021 with support of funding raised for the project.

International, a real estate franchisor with brokerage locations across the U.S. and Canada, today announced its support for Habitat for Humanity’s long-term recovery efforts following hurricanes Florence and Michael with a contribution of $400,000 with $200,000 designated to each response, respectively.

Des Moines , IA – EXIT Realty Corp. International today announced that it has committed to match the sponsorship contribution made by EXIT Realty Capital City for its Adopt-A-Day site build benefitting Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity.

EXIT Realty Capital City, with locations in Des Moines and Urbandale, is part of the EXIT Realty Upper Midwest and EXIT Realty Corp. International family of independently owned and operated franchise brokerages. A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund.  Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities, including Habitat for Humanity, and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds.  On Tuesday, September 18^th, Timothy Schutte, Broker/Owner, along with the sales professionals and administrative staff at EXIT Realty Capital City and their related affiliates will don hardhats and participate in the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home for an approved partner family.  EXIT Realty Corp. International will match the funds requested by EXIT Capital City in order to sponsor the day’s events for a total donation to Habitat for Humanity of $2,500.
