Local Real Estate Agent Raises Funds to Benefit Camp Oochigeas, Corporate Will Match

Peterborough, ON – EXIT Realty Corp. International today announced that it has committed to match funds raised by Michelle McColl, a Sales Representative with EXIT Realty Liftlock, Brokerage, benefitting Camp Oochigeas, a camp serving children living with cancer. 

EXIT Realty Liftlock, Brokerage, located in Peterborough, is part of the EXIT Realty Eastern Ontario and EXIT Realty Corp. International family of independently owned and operated franchise brokerages. A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund.  Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds.  On Sunday, May 12th, McColl will participate in the Toronto Sporting Life 10k Run for Camp Ooch and will be soliciting donations from the public.  EXIT Realty Corp. International has committed to match the funds raised by McColl up to $2,500 for a total expected donation to Camp Oochigeas of $5,000.

“I will be running in loving memory of Harrison McKinnon, a sweet two-year-old boy who my dear friends lost to cancer.  My son was close to his age when Harrison passed away, and I cry every time I think about what my friends went through,” said McColl.  “Camp Oochigeas played a big role in Harrison's cancer treatment, helping him to meet kids just like him and feel like a ‘normal’ kid again, despite what he was going through.  Harrison's parents speak very highly of Camp Ooch, and that's why I am running, for him, for them, and for all the kids who benefit from this Camp.”
