Agent Focused Key To Success for EXIT Realty Blues City
Collierville, Tenn. (Grassroots Newswire) February 2, 2022 --The foundation of EXIT Realty is to focus on human potential and EXIT Realty Blues City Broker/Owner Eddie Aeschliman, based in Collierville, credits focusing on agent success as the key factor in making his five-city, West Tennessee operation exceptional.
The year 2015 was the beginning of EXIT Realty Blues City when Eddie opened his first office in Collierville Tennessee, a town located in the greater Memphis metropolitan area. From that beginning, EXIT Realty Blues City has grown and now encompasses West Tennessee from the Mississippi River to the Tennessee River with offices in Collierville, Atoka, Jackson, Milan and Paris. Eddie’s commitment to his agents is evident in his vision statement, “Focus on every individual agent to ensure they are successful, profitable and happy, not only in business, but also in their personal lives."
“We work closely with our agents in training classes. I remind them often to treat your first 25 clients right and they will keep you in business with referrals and repeat business the rest of your career,” he said. “ The coaching, mentorship and training helps agents grow their real estate business both in the number of transactions as well as price point through use of technology, sphere of influence and personal growth and development.”
When Aeschliman first began his real estate career eighteen years ago, he researched various brokerages and started his EXIT career in Las Cruces, New Mexico with EXIT Realty Horizons in 2004. He then moved to Florida in 2008 where he worked with EXIT Realty Oceanside. In 2010, he moved to Jackson, Tennessee where he met and placed his license with Janet DiChiara the owner of EXIT Realty Select. After studying at Union University in Jackson, he met the love of his life, Renee, and moved to Collierville, Tennessee to be with her.
Aeschliman quickly learned not having a local office made selling real estate difficult.
“I tried to convince my broker Janet DiChiara to open a Memphis office, but she encouraged me to buy one. Honestly, I complained to my wife about not having an office and she was not sure a brokerage would work,” he explained. “At Christmas in 2014, I approached my mom, Bonnie Aeschliman, about going into business with me and opening an EXIT brokerage in Collierville. She has an entrepreneurial spirit, had sold her business and was going to retire. But, she liked the idea and suggested I take my future inheritance to get started, predicting I’d waste it anyway!”
Aeschliman did take the investment but with the caveat his mom re-locate to Collierville Tennessee from Wichita Kansas, get her license and help him launch the business. His mother had studied housing and interior design in college and thought being a Realtor was a good fit for her and was excited to start a new business with her son. She began a new career under Eddie’s guidance who taught her how to work a lead generation system and mentored her as she became a very successful Realtor. Her commissions went into the company account as she was thrilled to see the business grow. Those commissions were instrumental in opening more offices over the subsequent years says Eddie.
“I’ve been with EXIT my entire career. I love being in the business of helping grow agents so they can sustain themselves, have a career, make a living, invest in real estate and grow long-term income,” he said.
Aeschliman considers it a mission in helping agents and has established the Blues City Real Estate School. The son of a minister with family expectations that he would follow suit, Eddie candidly shares he didn’t feel like he is good enough to be a preacher but considers helping agents grow a future and have financial freedom his mission.
EXIT Realty Blues City works with Realtors to help get them up and running with the goal to be producing $7 million in sales within a couple of years – depending upon whether the agent is full-time or part-time. And, he has many of success stories:
“Tamara Harrald, based out of our Atoka office, joined in 2016 and quickly, double, then tripled sales. In 2021, her gross sales were $13 million. Sommer Crosby, based out of Jackson, is another great example. Her first year was 2020 and she did $1.7 million in product and the second year $7.6 million. We are coaching them up and getting the agents to produce,” he said.
Aeschliman said the key to his success is doing everything in the EXIT plan from training, branding, technology, office culture and financial security. “My biggest advice to new agents is to find a great coach and mentor who is invested in you beyond what you bring to the office. Find someone who’ll share the hard lessons and the helpful lessons at the same time. This is a long-term commitment,” he said.
Aeschliman feels strongly there is no better real estate brokerage than EXIT.
“It starts with the support from the top with (Founder) Steve Morris, his admin staff in Canada to (Regional Owners) Kenny and Stacy as well as your fellow brokers. This support for a franchise owner is huge. If I need to bounce off an idea, I can call for advice and be told that is a great idea or that’s the dumbest thing ever. Support is so important,” he said.
Regional support and events have also meant a lot to the franchise owner.
“Kenny and Stacy provide us with a lot of events with the recent Rally held in Orlando is a great example. They stepped up to bring us together. It was a big expense and a big pay-off for us from networking and learning how to grow business to making connections with other agents for future referrals,” Aeschliman said.
The future is clear for EXIT Realty Blues City from giving back to the community to growing more offices.
With around 90 agents and counting, you’ll find the EXIT Realtors individually contributing to their communities in a variety of ways. At Christmas, the brokerage lent their support to the Jackson-based Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA) food bank and thrift store.
Aeschliman’s long-term marketing plan is to bring EXIT to smaller towns which need a smart brokerage like EXIT. “We bring the tools and the technology to help those agents grow and serve their community. My goal is to bring a franchise to every county seat town in West Tennessee as we build our brand,” he said.
Aeschliman shares ownership of the brokerages with his mother, Bonnie Aeschliman, and his wife, Renee Aeschliman. He currently holds a broker’s license in Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida.
