Port Jefferson Station EXIT Realty Office Gives Back to the Community

Port Jefferson Station, New York (Grassroots Newswire) 8/22/2022 -- In gratitude for the support shown to EXIT Realty Island Elite by the local community, the real estate brokerage recently Provided School Supplies.

On Monday, August 22nd, agents from EXIT Realty Island Elite transported and dropped off the Backpacks and Supplies collected during their annual BACKPACK FUNDRAISER. This is the fourth year this office has organized this supply drive, which provides every incoming kindergarten student in the Comsewogue School Community with a free backpack and starter supplies like crayons, markers, rulers and more. EXIT has now collected well over a thousand back packs, and donated the extra supplies to local churches and organizations. Inside the packs are folders with two letters. The first is addressed to the parents, congratulating them on this momentous occasion. The second letter is the most important: it is addressed to the kids themselves. It explains that the supplies have all been provided by their community, their neighbors, friends and family, so that they can feel confident and supported as they enter school. EXIT Realty is proud and humbled by the community response every year, and plans to continue their efforts to provide the pinnacle of services while simultaneously giving back.

Centereach, NY (Grassroots Newswire) 12/20/2019 -- In gratitude for the support shown to EXIT Realty Island Elite by the local community, the real estate brokerage recently organized a collection of toys and games for Jackson's Toy Drive, supporting children that would be spending their holidays in Stony Brook University Hospital and St. Charles Hospital.

Jackson Edwards was diagnosed with AML, a rare form of leukemia that is usually found in adults, in December of 2013, just a week before Christmas. He was six years old. Jackson always loved the Holidays. He told his mother that he believed that no child should go without receiving gifts on Christmas, especially his friends, the other children in the hospital. Jackson's Toy drive was born, and every year since has grown and grown. The Office Staff was stunned and moved by the response. As the days in December passed by, the front door would open and families would come in with their gifts and place them in the boxes, some of whom knew the family, but mostly people who wanted to inspire smiles and recovery this season. The office staff could barely keep up, wrapping and placing new boxes out, and collecting the various overstuff.

We want to thank the community for coming together to keep Jackson's dream of putting smiles of all the children at the hospital alive this season! We collected so many toys, that not only will the children get toys for the holiday but also throughout the year.

Smithtown, NY (Grassroots Newswire) October 22, 2018 -- Real estate agents from EXIT Realty in Smithtown will be hosting a Great Gatsby Themed Party in a Historical Home on October 25, 2018 at 99 Ocean Avenue, Islip, NY.

Jason Furnari, Listing Agent, shares the following "This home has a great history. Built in 1900, the home originally sat on ten acres of land and was considered a “modern farmhouse”. Despite being called that, the home is designed with an impressive sixty-six hundred square feet of living space over three floors. The home found its place in history in 1947, when Senator Robert F. Wager bought this estate as his family’s summer home. In the 1950s, his son, NYC Mayor Robert F. Wager Jr., took over the property until it was sold in 1966. In the mid-1930s, Senator Wagner had drafted and introduced a bill for the Social Security Act to provide pensions and retirement to working Americans. The bill was signed into law later by President Roosevelt, and rumor has it that the president at one time was a guest of the great house. The home has been host to many parties, heads of state, and celebrities throughout the ages. Although the political guests, very rarely did politics intrude on the Wager Family’s live in Islip. It is, however, noted that in 1956, when Mayor Wager was running for Senator, Adlai Stevenson was running for president. There was a white picket fence all around the house and someone had vandalized it in the middle of the night, painting “I like Ike” in black paint. Instead of repainting it, the Wagner family instead went outside and added “And Bob, too!" In more recent history, 99 Ocean Avenue has been frequently on the list of Islip’s Christmas houses, an annual tour led by the Town of Islip Historical Society through the town’s most historical homes.
