Sun City, AZ (Grassroots Newswire) 12/12/2025 - EXIT Realty Sun City is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 HUD Homebuyer Education class schedule designed to increase homeownership, expand financial literacy, and prepare first-time and returning buyers for long-term success.
Led by Designated Broker & Owner Laya Gavin, the 2026 classes bring together a powerful slate of industry professionals, including HUD-certified housing counselors, mortgage lenders, credit specialists, underwriters, title and escrow officers and these professionals are all committed to helping close the homeownership gap.

About the 2026 HUD Homebuyer Education Classes
The monthly live sessions, are held virtually to ensure accessibility for buyers across Arizona and beyond. Each class meets the HUD education guidelines and provides participants with the option to complete 1-on-1 counseling for a certificate of completion and access to down payment assistance programs that can be used when purchasing anywhere in the United States.

Each session is presented in partnership with NID Housing Counseling Agency, one of the nation’s leading HUD-approved organizations, and supported by expert guests from mortgage lending, home warranty, title/escrow, insurance, and financial services. Gayle Randolph is our local NID Housing Counselor and she is a veteran in this industry and delivers homeownership information as well as foreclosure prevention to organizations in multiple states.
Why This Matters
Arizona families face rising housing costs, limited inventory, and changing mortgage dynamics. In 2025 alone, nearly 90 households attended EXIT Realty Sun City’s education programs for FREE, and our buyers were able to receive thousands of dollars in down payment assistance and grants, plus additional negotiated concessions and repairs when purchasing their homes. Several people received funds ranging from $10,000 and up, with our largest recipient obtaining $103,000 towards her family home purchase in Phoenix.
“This is our 3rd year offering these monthly classes. And we are seeing parents graduate as homeowners, then bring their adult children through so that they can purchase too. These classes change lives,” said Gavin. “Education breaks fear. Knowledge builds confidence. Our goal is to find the resources and prepare our class participants for a successful outcome.”
Registration & Participation
The 2026 Homebuyer Education Series is offered free of charge. There is no income limitation (we have programs to fit all income levels, and even recent college graduates just coming out of school).
