Jacksonville EXIT Realty Office Gives Back to the Community

Jacksonville, Florida (Grassroots Newswire) December 22, 2014 -- In gratitude for the support shown to EXIT 1 Stop Realty by the local community, the real estate brokerage recently announced it's position as Title Sponsor of the 5th Annual "Serving up a Cure" Charity Tennis Tournament, benefiting pediatric brain cancer research and care.

Deerwood Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla., will host the 5th annual 'Serving up a Cure' Tennis Tournament, benefiting pediatric brain cancer research and care, on February 27th - March 1st, 2015. All proceeds from the charity fundraiser go directly to two charities: The Ellie Kavalieros DIPG Research Foundation, and the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic's Gabriel House of Care. Gabriel House of Care is an affordable extended-stay hospital hospitality house for cancer and organ transplant patients receiving medical care away from home and their caregivers.

The Gabriel House offers comfort and peace of mind to families requiring local accommodations while receiving specialized medical care in our community. The Ellie Kavalieros DIPG Research Fund, established in 2010 in honor of Ellie Kavalieros, provides critical support for innovative research for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Ellie was diagnosed with DIPG in May 2010; she peacefully passed away Christmas morning 2011 at the age of eleven. DIPG is an inoperable brain tumor and there is NO cure. Supporters have raised $115,000 to be contributed towards two amazing causes. The event includes the "Foley Family Wine" player dinner on Friday night and the legendary "Party to Ace Cancer" on Saturday evening: catered by “Cantina Laredo” and featuring live music by “Boogie Freaks.” The tournament includes men's, women's, and mixed doubles divisions. Tournament registration is $85 per player, $60 for Military and College Students. Winners and finalists of the Open/A division will have an opportunity to win over $1,000 in total tournament prize money.

We are reaching out to the Jacksonville tennis community to ask for your support and participation in this event. You will not want to miss this tournament. Please note: Registration deadline for players is February 16th at 11:59pm. We are anticipating over 300 players this year. Jacksonville, Florida (Grassroots Newswire) November 18, 2014 -- In gratitude for the support shown to EXIT 1 Stop Realty by the local community, the real estate brokerage recently opened their doors as a donation drop-off location for Toys for Tots, whose mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season each year. These gifts will be picked up, delivered, and distributed by marines to less fortunate children in our local community. The primary goal of the Foundation is the same as that of the overall Toys for Tots Program: i.e. – to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

The objectives of the Foundation are the same as those of the overall Toys for Tots program: To help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; an to contribute to improving communities in the future.
